CEDARBURG - A Cedarburg native was part of baseball history.

Edna 'Bunny' Scheer played for the Rockford Peaches in 1950.

"Bunny played in a Cedarburg league and in Milwaukee," said her niece and goddaughter Karen Kroening.  "She was a pitcher and she liked fastball."

Bunny passed away in 2000.  She was invited to the Hall of Fame following the success of the film 'A League of Their Own."

They have her a letterman's jacket," said Kroening.  "I have (an autographed) baseball and my nephew has her bat.  The bat was autographed by some of the actual Rockford Peaches."
