BURLINGTON - Aircraft from all over the country are flocking to the EAA Airventure in Oshkosh this week, but many of them are stopping first at Burlington Municipal Airport.

"It's a nice quiet airport.  It's uncontrolled, so there's no tower.  Pilots just talk to each other when they're landing and make sure there's safe operation.  It's just a nice, small-town airport and the fuel sales are cheap; it's all self-serve," explained Chris Meisner, VP of sales and marketing for Meisner Aircraft, which manages the airport.

The airport sees all kinds of aircraft come through as they fuel up ahead of the event in Oshkosh.

"We see everything from ultralights, to Piper Cubs and Stearmans.  We've also got some things I can't even tell you what they are, but they fly, and somehow they make it up there," laughed Meisner.

Airventure runs through Sunday.
