Brewers fans react to All-Star Game selections
MILWAUKEE -- The Brewers will be well represented at this year's All-Star Game.
Four players have made it on the team -- the most since 2007 -- and Brewers fans are counting down until the big game.
"I think four is a really good start,” said softball player Chase Hahne. “I wasn't really expecting that many."
Hahne said she's happy that Jonathan Lucroy was selected because of one similar connection:
"Well, Lucroy's the catcher, and so am I. So that's a big plus about it. I think they'll represent the Brewers well," adds Hahne.
Brewers fan, Jon Harrington, admits he was disappointed that Ryan Braun didn't make the cut.
"It’s understandable with all the things he's going through. He deserves to be in a game like this," expresses Harrington.
Still, he is looking forward to seeing the three other members chosen for the national league team: Carlos Gomez, Aramis Ramirez, and Francisco Rodriguez.
"I watch it every year, the All-Star Game. It's great to see great players playing baseball," Harrington said.
When we asked him which player's jersey he was buying - turns out, it was a Hank the Dog tee-shirt for his girlfriend!
Brewers fans say they're still crazy about Hank the Dog. But for now, he'll have to share the spotlight with the four members headed to the All-Star Game.
The All-Star Game is Tuesday July 15th at Target Field in Minneapolis.
