Brewers Community Foundation sets $3 million goal
MILWAUKEE -- The Brewers do a lot of fun things for fans, but they also do a lot for the community.
Cecilia Gore with the Brewers Community Foundation said their goal was to raise more than $3 million this year.
"Fans are involved, players are involved," Gore said. "This year we are saying if we all play on the same team everyone wins. This year we had nearly 100 percent giving from our players..."
Gore said the organization is raising money by building playgrounds and houses, feeding people and getting involved with youth baseball leagues.
"We are trying to be active and engaged," Gore said. "We think it is very important to be a part of the fabric in this community."
