GREENFIELD - Greenfield police were called to an apartment complex on W. Howard Avenue in Greenfield  around 10:45 a.m. Wednesday after there were reports of a suspicious item.

Police said a 50 pound, capped pipe was left behind in a vacant tenant's apartment.

Officials said while there was no wick coming out of the pipe, the building where the pipe was found was evacuated and the City of Milwaukee Bomb Squad  was called to remove and dispose the pipe.

There were no injuries.
