WIND LAKE - Divers recovered a body from Wind Lake in Racine County Monday, as well as Lake Michigan in Kenosha.

An emergency call came in around 5:15 p.m. from a mother and daughter who were out on their boat in Wind Lake, and noticed a body floating in the water.

Police believe the victim is a 34-year-old man from Waterford, but have not officially identified him yet. They're still trying to locate his family.

As emergency crews surrounded the boat launch area of Wind Lake, neighbors were immediately reminded of the last time this happened - two years ago during Fourth of July weekend.

"I was pulling in my driveway this evening, when the first fire truck arrived, and I thought to myself  'Oh no, not again!'"says Lynn Wall. "It's always a tragedy when you see this. Such a sad start to summer."

"I don't know what it is about this lake, but people keep drowning," adds Joseph Larson. "It's really kind of scary."

The Racine County Sheriff is still trying to determine why the 34-year-old victim was at Wind Lake, and how long he's been missing. His car was also recovered at the boat launch parking area.

"We don't believe there are any signs of foul play," says Racine County Sheriff Christopher Schmaling. "I have a number of investigators assigned to this case. They're sifting through missing persons reports. We're looking at every possible angle. We're obviously waiting on autopsy and toxicology results."

Also today in Kenosha, an older man was recovered in Lake Michigan near Southport Beach. Police tried to perform CPR but were unsuccessful. The identity of that victim is also still pending.
