BloodCenter of Wisconsin puts out emergency call for donors
MILWAUKEE - Wednesday is the last day the BloodCenter of Wisconsin will have extended hours for donors.
There's been a recent shortage, and the center has a huge need for blood donations. A lot of people gave Monday and Tuesday, but more donors are still needed.
“We've had a lot of trauma over the summer in the Milwaukee area,” said Jerome Gottschall with the BloodCenter. “Our donations had just drifted down in the last month or two.”
The blood centers hope to get at least 1,000 more donors by the end of Wednesday.
