Bastille Days kicks off Thursday downtown Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- Call it "Le Big Gig."

Bastille Days begins Thursday in downtown Milwaukee, and thousands of people are expected to storm Cathedral Square this weekend in time for French Independence Day.

Chalk artists, dancers, jugglers and an international marketplace with 90+ vendors selling art, clothing and accessories will appear along with a mini Effiel Tower built by MSOE students.
Times and dates for the festival are as follows:
  • Thursday, July 10: 11 a.m to Midnight
  • Friday, July 11: 11 a.m. to Midnight
  • Saturday, July 12: 10 a.m. to Midnight (Kid's Day Activities kick-off at 10 a.m.)
  • Sunday, July 13: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
