DELAFIELD – The embattled Hartland Sportsman’s club is facing another setback.

The Delafield plan commission voted unanimously to recommend denying a permit that would allow the gun range to re-open. The business shut down in 2010 after a stray bullet struck a pregnant woman at a nearby restaurant.

The club claims they have made safety upgrades and say they should be allowed to re-open. The Delafield City Council could ignore the plan commission’s recommendation and approve the application at their next meeting in December.
