MILWAUKEE -- A fugitive from Selma, Alabama was captured in Milwaukee Tuesday.

An official with the US Marshals said they had been looking for Lavonte Conn since April. He was wanted for two counts of attempted murder and armed robbery after allegedly shooting two people during a carjacking.

When authorities learned Conn had family in Milwaukee, they identified a potential residence where he was hiding out, set up surveillance and eventually arrested him at an apartment building near 51st Street and North Avenue.

Conn was taken into custody without incident.
