After shutting down one 'flop house,' police searching for three more
MILWAUKEE – Neighbors and city leaders are still upset after someone fired shots at Milwaukee police officers Wednesday night.
Police were serving a warrant near 25th and Orchard when they were fired on six times. All of the shots missed hitting anyone. The officers then arrested six people, including 3 women, for prostitution.
Police call the residence a “flop house,” where people buy and sell sex and drugs.
Belinda Conecin lives in the neighborhood.
“I'm glad they got them because we have whores walking through here all day and night,” Conecin says.
Police believe there are other flop houses in this area. They're asking people to call in with tips if they see anything suspicious.
