Abrupt end to music festival in Waukesha upsets fans
WAUKESHA - The musical event, Rockesha, was canceled Saturday after the first act. A failure to fully pay the bands led to upset ticket holders who had paid between $30 and $40 per ticket.
The event was organized by Splat Entertainment and was held at the Waukesha County Expo Center. Concert goers were told that the event was postponed after the first musician performed.
According to host Eddie Trunk's twitter page, promoters were hoping to make the money with day-of ticket sales. Trunk was hired to host by the promoters and stated that he was in the same boat as the bands.
The promoters have not returned calls or e-mails for comment. No word yet if or when the event will be held and if ticket holders will be receiving a refund.
