Kyle Prelesnik Remembered At Vigil
“Anybody who met him was touched by him,” Kroll said.
But Kroll’s hope for a celebration was challenged by the overwhelming sadness just beneath the surface. Kroll too succumbed to emotion when he considered what his brother might have become.
“There’s no limit to what he could have done,” Kroll said passionately. “There was so much potential. He was smart. I read the papers he was writing for UWM. It brings tears to my eyes how smart he was.”
Jodi Lemmer was the manager of the Bradley Tech wrestling team when young Kyle was a 135 pound tour de force. She created a hand painted t-shirt as a tribute to her friend. TODAY’S TMJ4 asked the bright-eyed teen how much she will miss her friend.
“As my friend says, it’s a whole full circle,” Jodi said as she raised her arms to create a regal arc. “Like this much, it can’t even extend that far.”
That sentiment was universal among Kyle’s friends. Moises Deanda described Kyle as his best friend and was having a difficult time with the grim realization that life is fleeting and that he and his friends are far from indestructible.
“Words can’t even describe how much I’m going to miss him,” Moises said as he fought back tears. “It’s just unbelievable right now. He’s not coming back anymore. We won’t see him at school anymore or anything.”
Kyle Prelesnik’s funeral will take place Saturday at the Forest Home Cemetery Chapel.
