MMSD Dumps 2.1 Billion Gallons of Wastewater
The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage district says last weeks storms forced them to dump about 2.1 billion gallons of untreated wastewater into Lake Michigan.
That doesn't even include any sewerage overflows from local communities.
JS Online reports the district is still treating all the rainwater, and will have dealt with more than 3.2 billion gallons of it when all is said and done.
