North Shore Area Reeling after Flooding

  • Print

GLENDALE - People waking up on the north shore of Milwaukee County are discovering a water-logged mess.

On the roads, people are discovering lots of localized ponding, cars parked onto curbs looking like ships that have beached after a shipwreck, and lots of sewer service crews already at work.

A few hours before sun-up, rain had completely flooded parts of the north shore.

TODAY'S TMJ4 HD's Melissa McCrady says that water receded since then, but it left a lot of debris behind.

Nicolet High School's football equipment area had water gushing into the workout room, as the school's first floor and basement suffered major flooding damage.

Glendale, Whitefish Bay, Fox Point, Bayside each had several feet of standing water on roadways, making them impassable, causing homes and businesses to flood.
