Waukesha Council President: City Supports Great Lakes Water
WAUKESHA - Despite what the mayor says, the City of Waukesha supports an application for Great Lakes Water.
"The common council voted 14-1 to submit the Great Lakes application," said Waukesha Common Council President Paul Ybarra on 620WTMJ's "Wisconsin's Morning News."
"This isn't necessarily me just saying this. This is the Common Council backed by the near-decade of scientists, engineers and water experts that have all studied this and (say) that Great Lakes option is the only long-term sustainable option for Waukesha."
He calls mayor Jeff Scrima irresponsible for trying to kill that option.
