Drunk Driver Sentenced to 5 Years for Fatal Crash
MILWAUKEE- Michael Dorsey, 47, plead guilty Wednesday afternoon to driving while intoxicated and causing the crash that killed Brandon Boston, 24, last September
Dorsey, who was sentenced to five years in prison, was driving his truck when he turned in front of Boston’s motorcycle and the two collided. After the accident Dorsey drove off but was later apprehended by the police.
Boston helped fund and was a part of the Bogus Boys Motorcycle Club. He had been with fellow riders the night of crash.
While in court, Boston’s father, retired fire fighter, Hal Boston spoke on his son’s behalf.
“I think about you and you had the chance to make the right decision as an adult, you should have but you chose not to and as a first responder when you fled the scene you left my son to die. Those are the seconds the minutes that matter, that count, ask any firefighter or paramedic,” said Boston.
Dorsey expressed remorse while he addressed the court.
“I am solely responsible for the decision to leave the scene and I only hope that one day the Boston family will find it in their heart to forgive me,” said Dorsey.
This was Dorsey’s second OWI.
