Doyle Denies Van Hollen's Health Care Challenge
MILWAUKEE - Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle has denied Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen's request to pursue legal action against certain parts of President Obama's health care overhaul.
"This law is an act of Congress, signed by the President of the United States," Doyle wrote in a letter to Van Hollen Thursday. "The lawsuit you suggest is a frivolous and political attempt to thwart the actions of Congress and the law of the country."

Van Hollen had announced his intention to challenge the law on constitutional grounds on Newsradio 620 WTMJ's "Midday with Charlie Sykes" Thursday morning.
"We have now had enough time to review the law and to review the law that exists that applies to this new law to determine that we believe that there are constitutional violations that exist, and we have requested the authority of our state government to sue," Van Hollen said.
