Woman Says Assault Suspect Also Attacked HerBy Tom Murray with Jay SorgiMILWAUKEE - More women are coming forward who say that a man charged with sexually assaulting a UWM student may have also attacked them. That includes a woman who lives in a south side Milwaukee neighborhood. "He came from half way down another block, crossed the street and grabbed me," said Sheri Storm. She claims that near her apartment, a man in sunglasses aggressively groped her between her legs. "He looked right at me and said, 'I thought we were good with this.'" When Sheri saw Joel Hoffman's picture on the news, she thought he could have been her attacker. "It does indeed match exactly what I told the police." Then, when Sheri heard reports about Hoffman's black Charger, she was convinced it was the same man. "Absolutely positive, absolutely." Sheri even showed us a police report. The license plate number she gave officers the day of her attack turned out to be one letter different than the plate on Hoffman's car, which may explain why investigators could not link her complaint to the registered sex offender. While the Milwaukee Police Department says they have "no indication that Hoffman has assaulted other women in Milwaukee," Sheri hopes detectives will revisit her case. "My concern is that I'm not the only one who this sort of thing has happened to." Sheri fears there may be other victims out there. She is now encouraging them to speak out to police. Meanwhile, a court commissioner set Hoffmann's bail at $750,000 Wednesday.
