Soldier Tells Lies About Injuries to Newspaper
NEW LONDON - The Army has some questions for a soldier from New London who apparently lied about his rank and injuries he suffered overseas.
Specialist Jordan Olson returned home from Afghanistan over the weekend, and told the Appleton Post Crescent that he was a sergeant and suffered kidney injures in a roadside blast
It turns out neither of those area true, plus Olson was wearing patches from the 82nd Airborne Division, even though his unit isn't attached to it.
An army major tells the paper the army has no explanation for the discrepancies.
Olson hasn't returned calls from the paper.
