Shoppers Reluctantly Prepare for Snow

  • Print

BROWN DEER - This just might be the storm that makes people mad. After beautiful 40-degree days late last week, many people in southeastern Wisconsin started thinking spring. Now we're being snapped back into winter reality.

Over at the Lowes in Brown Deer, shopper Alan Kassander is going back and forth on how much he needs to prepare for Monday's snow. News of another storm, has ruined his springtime buzz.

"I want spring to start," Kassander said. "We've had enough of this cold and everything else."

But business was brisk at this Brown Deer Lowes Sunday as people stocked up for the snowfall. Store manager Justin Jeffrey says they sold five snowblowers. And that not all: "A lot of snow shovels, a lot of salt, even some ice scrapers," Jeffrey said.

But he says if you need anything extra for the snow, better get shopping. Many stores are starting to focus on their spring stock.
