RACINE - Racine was one of the hardest hit areas from the recent snowfall that dumped more than a foot of snow on parts of Southeastern Wisconsin.

TODAY'S TMJ4 HD's Diane Pathieu bluntly described the work that remains for salting and plowing crews, along with anyone who has to shovel.

"They have a lot of work to do," said Pathieu.

"Very snow covered this morning, so there is a lot to have to clean up, and you talk about that wind. There's a lot of blowing and drifting that's causing a lot of snow drifts, so even if they did clean up yesterday, it's a whole new mess this morning."

It's only made worse because of the heavy winds coming off the lake.

"The wind is really kicking in, making it feel colder and making a bigger mess as far as the snow is concerned. Keep that in mind as far as the main thoroughfares. The roads are still snow covered."
