GREEN BAY - This week brought the first major snow of winter 2009-10 to Wisconsin.
It also brought Packers Coach Mike McCarthy the chance to not only show off his much-beloved snowblower, but to help out his neighbors.
"I went and did two neighbors last night because two people didn't have their driveways done," said McCarthy on 620WTMJ's "Wisconsin's Morning News."
Why in the world would an NFL coach not only have time, but such a desire to go snowblowing?
"We have a Case IH tractor that has a snowblower on the front of it. We're able to do the street if needed," admits McCarthy.
"It's more fun than work, to be honest with you."
He says it's also a source of stress relief, and just a lot of fun to use his snowblower, when he has the time.
"Big time. It really is," said McCarthy, who claims he can't sleep when he knows he can use his powerful snowblowing machinery.
"I can't wait to get up and get going. It's exciting."
