Unusual Kenosha Burglary
KENOSHA - A Porsche, a Jeep, a boat, a Harley, 20 guns... just some of the things police say thieves took from a Kenosha home while the family was out of town and up north deer hunting.
"Generally when people break into houses they take the household items: TVs, electronics, guns of course if they can find them. But the fact that these vehicles were stolen and the boat trailer and everything. They might as well just have taken the whole house," Sgt. Guy Tappa of the Kenosha Police Department said.
Police believe the suspects began their crime spree by taking the homeowner's keys out of his truck, which was being fixed at a local auto repair shop.
They even stole his GPS, which police believe the thieves could have used to locate his home.
"I was very shocked and surprised that it happened in this neighborhood," next door neighbor Jane Cassity said.
She's one of the many neighbors who didn't see anything.
"We don't ever really go out and investigate because nothing ever really happens," Cassity said.
Police recovered the Jeep and the boat. They are still looking for the other items. If you have any information, call Kenosha Police.
