Driver Survives Car vs. Train Crash
WAUWATOSA - A driver is lucky to be alive after her car crashed head-on into a train near 68th and State in Wauwatosa Tuesday afternoon.
"I was scared. I was really scared! I was thinking 'Oh my God!' I was so glad she got out of it," says one witness.
Investigators say the woman was driving north on 68th Street and needed to turn on to State. Instead, she turned onto some train tracks nearby.
"I actually saw the train in the car. It was like Final Destination," says the witness.
The driver managed to get out of the car before the train hit.
She will likely get a ticket.
