Man Pleads No Contest to Burning Corpse
FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) -- A man charged in Fond du Lac County of burning the body of a 28-year-old Waukesha mother has pleaded no contest.
Court documents say 48-year-old Donald Worth, of Van Dyne, confessed that he helped 36-year-old Brandon Mueller, of Brookfield, burn the body of Renee Redmer and dispose of the ashes in Lake Winnebago in January.
A criminal complaint obtained by The Reporter in Fond du Lac says Worth became involved when Mueller and Mueller's 53-year-old mother, Nancy Pinno, transported the body to Worth's home, where it was burned in a barrel.
He pleaded to party to the crime of mutilating a corpse and possession of marijuana. Three other charges were dismissed.
Mueller has a motion hearing Dec. 22 and Pinno has a jury trial scheduled to start Dec. 14.
