New Swine Flu Clinics, Schools Reopening around Milwaukee

By Melissa McCrady

MILWAUKEE - We could find out Monday when the next swine flu clinic will be held in Milwaukee.

Meanwhile, some students will head back to class after the swine flu closed a number of schools.

The City of Milwaukee has already held two swine flu vaccination clinics. Surprisingly, 1,300 vaccines remain.

As more clinics are being scheduled, more schools are reopening.

Hartland South Elementary and Morning Star Lutheran in Jackson were scheduled to reopen Monday Morning.

Both schools shut down last week because of swine flu concerns.

Several communities are doing what they can to get residents vaccinated, but it has been difficult to meet demand.

Wauwatosa ran out of vaccine on friday, as did Ozaukee County at their clinic in Port Washington.

Many parents got in line early and waited hours just to keep their families healthy.

"The schools have been closing, and I didn't want the kids to get sick in case there was a bigger pandemic going on."

Waukesha County will hold its first public vaccination clinic tomorrow. It's scheduled for three days.

Kenosha County will hold a one-day clinic tomorrow night, and we're still waiting to hear when Milwaukee will hold its next clinic.
