Marinette Powerball Winner Collects PrizeMARINETTE, Wis. (AP) -- The northern Wisconsin man who won last week's $31.4 million Powerball jackpot has accepted his ceremonial check. Doug Miron of Marinette celebrated his win Monday at the convenience store where he bought his winning ticket. Surrounded by relatives, Miron waved the oversized check above his head, then pointed upward. The winning numbers in last week's drawing were 5, 15, 25, 30 and 40 with a Powerball of 6. Miron says he has played the same numbers for 17 years. He chose to take his jackpot in a lump sum. That works out to $16.7 million, or $11.2 million after taxes. Miron says he'll use the money to help his family. He also has his eye on a new truck. The convenience store, City Limits, wins a $100,000 commission. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press.
