No 2010 PGA Tournament in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE - The PGA is, for now, done with Milwaukee.
After 42 years with pro golfers, the Milwaukee Golf Charities Board voted to dissolve itself.
That group had been running the Greater Milwaukee Open since 1968. The trouble started when the tournament lost it's title sponsor, US Bank.
The PGA says it's still interested in coming to Wisconsin in the future, and current PGA tour players Steve Stricker and Jerry Kelly are assisting in an attempt to bring the tour back to the state in 2011.
Tournament director Dan Croak told the Journal Sentinel that the tournament donated $520,000 to charity.
