6-Year Olds Bash Brett Favre
WAUWATOSA - Some of the most opinionated, trash-talking football fans out there are the 6,7 and 8-year olds at St. Bernard’s School in Wauwatosa.
Monday wasn’t a normal day at St. Bernard’s. The school uniform policy was amended to allow anything that says “Packers” on it. In one class, a student wore a Brett Favre jersey with the name covered up with tape.
“Well, since he’s on the Vikings, I don’t really want his name on my shirt,” said Ben Kraft.
It’s a good thing Brett can’t hear what some of the kids think of him now that he’s a Viking.
Asked why she didn’t like Brett Favre, one young girl named Chloe simply said, “I just don’t like him.”
Student Gabby Kaine said “It’s kind of weird,” that Favre is on another team.
But it wasn’t all Favre bashing. In one 1st grade class, an intense rivalry was brewing. On one side, the Packers fans. On the other, Vikings fans, sticking their tongues out at their classmates across the room. The two sides provided a pre-game analysis, predicting the winner of Monday night’s Packers-Vikings game.
The predictions were split down the middle: half Vikings, half Packers.
A 6-year old Vikings fan named Erin had perhaps the boldest prediction. Asked how many touchdowns Brett Favre would score on Monday, she said, “Fourteen…thousand.”
That would make the final score: Packers: 0, Vikings: 98,000 (assuming they made all their extra points).
It’s not too late to call Vegas and place a bet.
