Suspect who fatally stabbed Milwaukee woman turns himself in
MILWAUKEE - Police have made an arrest in the stabbing death of a 60-year-old Milwaukee woman.
Barbara Killebrew's daughter says her mom was a church-going lady who is now in a better place. That sentiment was echoed throughout the neighborhood.
"She was outgoing. She was always nice. She was a Christain lady," said friend Antoinette Edwards.
Family members explain Killebrew spoke at an anti-violence rally for Sierra Guyton earlier this month.
"I just can't believe this. This is crazy," Edwards said.
What neighbors and family don't know is why Killebrew was violently stabbed to death, police say, by her 52-year-old boyfriend.
"I just can't believe he would do something like that to her," Edwards said.
A memorial for Killebrew has been set up at Chase Bank, called The Barbara Killebrew Memorial Fund.
