4:27 p.m.  1 Out
Hoffman vs. Gwynn
Two guys who swapped uni's from last year - and Escobar barely gets the putout, thanks to a dig in the dirt by Fielder.

Bottom 8th

4:22 p.m.  3 Out
Mujica vs. Rivera
Great time for homer number three, Rivera....swingandamiss and the inning is over.  Trevor, hold 'em now, puhleeze!

4:20 p.m.  2 Out, Runner on 2nd
Mujica vs. Gerut
Offense, let's get BIG insurance now.

Launch to left but Headley makes a sprinting grab in the sun, about 335 feet from home plate.

4:19 p.m.  1 Out, Runner on 2nd
Mujica vs. Cameron
The reliever with a 3.62 ERA gives up a drive to left past Headley, who dived but couldn't catch it.

4:16 p.m.  1 Out
Mujica vs. Fielder
Ueck begs San Diego to keep its offense available for the Cardinals this weekend.  Fielder doesn't get much on a slow grounder.

Top 8th

4:13 p.m.  3 Out
Stetter vs. Venable
Crew had an eight run lead and the tying run is at the plate for the Pads?  Sickening.

Fly to left, but Braun ends the blood-letting.

4:09 p.m.  2 Out, Runners on 1st and 3rd
Milwaukee 12, San Diego 9
Weathers vs. Cabrera
Full count and can Weathers finally end the insanity?  Nope.  Base hit to right and it's getting REAL scary.  Weathers replaced.

4:06 p.m.  2 Out, Runners on 1st and 3rd
Milwaukee 12, San Diego 8
Weathers vs. Hundley
Fly to shallow center and LOPEZ DROPPED IT!  WHAT THE &@%*?  Padres add another run.

4:04 p.m.  2 Out, Runners on 1st and 2nd
Weathers vs. Blanks
What in the world is with this game.  Please end this madness, Weathers!

THANK YOU!  Strike three looking.

4:03 p.m.  1 Out, Runners on 1st and 2nd
Milwaukee 12, San Diego 7
Weathers vs. Kouzmanoff
A base hit up the gut and Gonzalez crosses the plate.

3:59 p.m.  1 Out, Runners on 1st and 2nd
Weathers vs. Headley
When I hear the name Headley, I just feel like yelling like the Blazing Saddles sheriff, "Where are the....at" - nope, not the whole thing - need to be FCC friendly.

Missed inside on 3-2.  At least he's fair to both sides of the plate.

3:58 p.m.  1 Out, Runner on 1st
Weathers vs. Gonzalez
Missed outside on 3-2.

3:55 p.m.  1 Out
Weathers vs. Eckstein
A slow grounder to Escobar.  Elementary, my dear Weathers.

Bottom 7th

3:53 p.m.  3 Out
Burke vs. Braun
A fly playable to Gwynn ends the inning.

3:51 p.m.  2 Out, Runner on 2nd
Burke vs. Counsell
Swingandamiss on a changeup.

3:46 p.m.  1 Our, Runner on 2nd
Milwaukee 12, San Diego 6
Burke vs. Lopez
After 3-2 and the continual litany of foul balls, he lines one to the wall, and Escobar sprints to the plate like Yosemite Sam with a spark going down the gun powder chasing him for the latest Brewers run.

3:44 p.m.  1 Out, Runner on 1st
Burke vs. Escobar
A tapper along 3rd rolls.....stays.........fair........still.....rolling.....

3:43 p.m.  1 Out
Burke vs. Iribarren
The replacement for DiFelice at bat, and Kent Sommerfeld gives a yawning "awwww....standby" to Provus.  A pop-up to short.

Top 7th

3:38 p.m.  3 Out
DiFelice vs. Gwynn
A launch to right goes 340 feet, but it's 360 there.

3:37 p.m.  2 Out, Runner on 2nd
DiFelice vs. Rodriguez
BIG swinging K helps the Brew Crew cause.

3:36 p.m.  1 Out, Runner on 2nd
DiFelice vs. Rodriguez
No chance for Cabrera to respond to a stolen base.

3:34 p.m.  1 Out, Runner on 1st
DiFelice vs. Cabrera
On 3-1, Cabrera actually hits his keyster on the plate, but he gets his feet to 1st on a walk.

3:33 p.m.  1 Out
DiFelice vs. Hundley
Counsell takes the slapper near the 3rd base bag.

Bottom 6th

3:29 p.m.  3 Out
Webb vs. Rivera
Bouncer to short means just two explosions so far today for Rivera.

Twitter @LisaManna
"Who wants to camp out with me at Miller Park???!!! Miller Park is having a sleepover."

  3:26 p.m.  2 Out, Runners on 1st and 3rd
Webb vs. Gerut
Cabrera snags it at short for the force, but ducks on pond.

3:24 p.m.  1 Out, Runners on 1st and 2nd
Webb vs. Cameron
On 3-2, he draws back-to-back walks.

3:22 p.m.  1 Out, Runner on 1st
Webb vs. Fielder
The guy chasing Cecil Cooper's club record in RBI (126 in 1983) draws a four-pitch walk.

3:20 p.m.  1 Out
Webb vs. Braun
Now, the Crew actually needs insurance runs.  Ugh.

As home run inning contest winner picked Bill Hall, no longer with team.  Sorry, dude.

Bouncer goes on one hopper to Gonzalez.  HECK of a play.

Top 6th

  3:16 p.m.  3 Out
DiFelice vs. Blanks
Jeez....11, 8 and 0 vs. 6, 13 and 0.  Rare you get out-hit and produce five more runs.  Thanks, homers!

A BIG K...thank you, DiFelice.

3:14 p.m.  2 Out, Runner on 1st
Parra vs. Kouzmanoff
A liner to right sends Parra to the showers.

3:13 p.m.  2 Out
Parra vs. Headley
Not Kouzmanoff, as Ueck suggested.   Grounder.

3:12 p.m.  1 Out
Milwaukee 11, San Diego 6
Parra vs. Gonzalez
Get him OUT of the game!  Get Gonzalez out of Milwaukee, puhleez!

3:10 p.m.  1 Out, Runner on 1st
Parra vs. Eckstein
With DiFelice working in the pen, Gerut hauls in a shot to right.

3:09 p.m.  Runner on 1st
Parra vs. Gwynn
A jammed swing turns into a trickler to 3rd base which turns into a hit.

3:06 p.m.
Milwaukee 11, San Diego 4
Parra vs. Salazar
Thatcher's outing = very short.  A bomb to left center makes it a seven-run game.

Bottom 5th

3:04 p.m.  3 Out
Thatcher vs. Counsell
Whitefish Bay's own pops-up to end the inning.  No big whoop with bases left loaded.

2:59 p.m.  2 Out, Bases Loaded
Perdomo vs. Lopez
A too-low pitch draws a two-out walk to load the bases.  Pitching change coming.

2:58 p.m.  2 Out, Runners on 1st and 2nd
Perdomo vs. Escobar
A launch to left doesn't go far enough - Headley with the liner.

2:56 p.m.  1 Out, Runners on 1st and 2nd
Milwaukee 11, San DIego 3
Perdomo vs. Parra
Manny Parra adds to the party with an RBI single.  Pen going for San Diego

2:55 p.m.  1 Out, Runners on 1st and 2nd
Perdomo vs. Rivera
An inside pitch draws a walk.

2:54 p.m.  1 Out, Runners on 1st
Perdomo vs. Gerut
A slap up the middle - his 2nd hit today.

2:52 p.m.  1 Out
Perdomo vs. Cameron
A great play by Cabrera on the grass got Cammy.  Credit where credit is due.

2:48 p.m.
Milwaukee 10, San Diego 3
Perdomo vs. Fielder
The man bombs one again!

Top 5th

2:44 p.m.  3 Out
Parra vs. Cabrera
After going 0-2, it's now 3-2 and Parra gets a bouncer to short...thanks to Escobar's great throw.

2:42 p.m.  2 Out, Runners on 1st and 3rd
Milwaukee 9, San Diego 3
Parra vs. Hundley
Now on 80 pitches, a fly to the center field warning track gets two outs.

2:40 p.m.  1 Out, Bases Loaded
Parra vs. Blanks
After Bosio went to mound and talked to Parra, letting lip readers figure out Parra's strategy, another base hit to left.  5 hits in a row.

2:38 p.m.  1 Out, Runners on 1st and 2nd
Milwaukee 9, San Diego 2
Parra vs. Kouzmanoff
Liner to left and Gonzalez comes across the plate.

2:35 p.m.  1 Out, Runners on 1st and 2nd
Milwaukee 9, San Diego 1
Parra vs. Headley
Cameron barely misses making a special grab...it's ruled a trap and a run scores.

2:34 p.m.  1 Out, Runners on 1st and 3rd
Parra vs. Gonzalez
With a probable full house watching (thanks, YMCA kids), a bouncing ball slips through an overshift and AGone puts ducks on the pond.

2:33 p.m.  1 Out, Runner on 1st
Parra vs. Eckstein
A solid slep to right-center means five hits for San Diego.  It's seven K's for Parra vs. five hits...still not bad.

2:31 p.m.  1 Out
Parra vs. Gwynn

Former teammates battling here, and Cameron snags Gwynn's soft fly to center.

Bottom 4th

2:27 p.m.  3 Out
Perdomo vs. Braun
Grounder with as much oomph on it as a kindergardner nearly ties up Perdomo, but he throws out Braun.

2:25 p.m.  2 Out
Perdomo vs. Counsell
Last at bat, got hit by a wild pitch.  This time, a grounder to Eckstein.

2:25 p.m.  1 Out
Perdomo vs. Lopez
K's - Now 0-3 for the leadoff guy.  Perhaps the only guy not doing his job today at the plate.

Top 4th

2:20 p.m.  3 Out
Parra vs. Perdomo
The guy with the same last name as a famous Cuban cigar company (nope, don't smoke 'em myself) gets punched out himself.  7 K's now.

2:18 p.m.  2 Out, Runners on 1st and 2nd
Parra vs. Cabrera
Ball four after Cabrera took high on a 3-1 pitch.

2:15 p.m.  2 Out, Runner on 2nd
Parra vs. Hundley
The catcher check-swinged strike three with a successful appeal at 1st.  6 punchout's.

  2:14 p.m.  1 Out, Runner on 2nd
Parra vs. Blanks
He goes down on K's...number 5.

2:13 p.m.  Runner on 2nd
Parra vs. Kouzmanoff
After not pitching for 24 minutes, he gives up a gapper for a ground rule double.

Bottom 3rd

2:10 p.m.  3 Out
Perdomo vs. Escobar
At bat no. 2 for the new guy turns into a chopper which Eckstein snags despite Escobar's speed.

2:09 p.m.  2 Out
Perdomo vs. Parra
I guess not everyone can homer every at bat.  Parra K's.

2:06 p.m.  1 Out
Milwaukee 9, San Diego 0
Perdomo vs. Rivera
Pitch two nearly sailed to Menomonee Falls, so there's wildness all over with San Diego pitching today.  Then, another bomb to left and it's four homers - two for Rivera!

2:05 p.m.  1 Out, Runner on 3rd
Perdomo vs. Rivera
A wild pitch sends Gerut to 3rd - his first pitch, too.

2:01 p.m.  1 Out, Runner on 2nd
Milwaukee 7, San Diego 0
Carrillo vs. Gerut
The former Padre goes for a line drive base hit to the left field corner.  RBI double.  New pitcher, too.

Twitter @BrewTownBeat
"Someone tell Cesar Carrillo that BP ended 90 minutes ago."

1:59 p.m.  1 Out, Runner on 1st
Carrillo vs. Cameron
The first plunking victim of Carrillo goes 3-2, then takes ball four on a far outside pitch.

1:56 p.m.  1 Out
Carrillo vs. Fielder
Easy grounder ends the fireworkds temporarily.

Twitter @acwilber
Prince taking out some frustrations on the Johnson Controls sign today! 465 seems light to me.

1:53 p.m.
Milwaukee 6, San Diego 0
Carrillo vs. Braun
After going 2-0, it's the 3rd bomb of the game.  Headley didn't move in left field.

1:51 p.m.  Runner on 1st
Carrillo vs. Counsell
Since the ladies are needing someone new with Hardy out, a friend tells me they saw Counsell running shirtless with six-pack abs.  Sorry ladies, he's married.  He also got hit with an inside pitch near the elbow.  Dana DeMuth issues a warning to both dugouts.

Top 3rd

1:49 p.m.  3 Out
Parra vs. Headley
Mr. Blazing Saddles for the Pads swings and misses for out three.  4 K's for Parra.

1:47 p.m.  2 Out
Parra vs. Gonzalez
Doug Melvin on the tube is wearing a shirt from 1990.  Perhaps it's a sign he cares about his job more than his wardrobe, which is no complaint to me.

Escobar ranges left and nails Gonzalez from 2nd.  He was shifted left.

1:46 p.m.  1 Out
Parra vs. Eckstein
Mel Brooks' favorite infielder grounds to 2nd.  "Eck-schteeen!"

Bottom 2nd Inning

1:44 p.m.  3 Out
Carrillo vs. Lopez
A lazy fly to center ends a banner inning for the Brewers offense.

1:43 p.m.  2 Out
Carrillo vs. Escobar
After a solid hand from the crowd (including a few standing), a bouncer to the hole gets to Cabrera at short and they barely got Escobar.  Cabrera then ran to the Padres dugout - thinking three outs.

1:42 p.m.  1 Out
Carrillo vs. Parra
Matchup of pitchers becomes Carrillo's first career K.

1:36 p.m.
Milwaukee 4, San DIego 1
Carrillo vs. Rivera
Seeing the replay, Fielder did admire his explosion by the Johnson Controls sign a little longer than usual.  As Ueck continues his rant on chocolate-covered bacon (saying it looks like beef jerky), Rivera goes to 3-2, hits about 317 foul balls before bombing another to left center.

1:35 p.m.  Runners on 1st and 2nd
Carrillo vs. Gerut
While Gerut takes 1st on a walk, we hear Fielder's moonshot went 465 feet.

1:34 p.m.  Runner on 1st
Carrillo vs. Cameron
First pitch hits Cammy in the back.  Watch for fun later.

1:32 p.m.
Milwaukee 1, San Diego 0
Carrillo vs. Fielder
Ueck calls chocolate covered-bacon a cross between a pork rind and Cheetoh with dark chocolate, then calls out Provus for not going to the fair.

Fielder sends a chocolate-covered bacon bomb to center - 500 feet at least!  Johnson Controls sign!  (Wait, he's a vegetarian.)

Top 2nd Inning

1:28 p.m.  3 Out
Parra vs. Gwynn
Comebacker to Manny and the underhand toss came after a bunch of steps...too close for comfort.

1:27 p.m.  2 Out, Bases Loaded
Parra vs. Carrillo
In Carrillo's first major league at-bat, a bullet to Fielder gets the runner at home - nice force.

1:25 p.m.  1 Out, Bases Loaded
Parra vs. Cabrera
After going 3-0 in the count, they put him on intentionally.  Not a bad idea.  Induce the pitcher into a twin killing.

1:24 p.m.  1 Out, Runners on 2nd and 3rd
Parra vs. Hundley
"HEEEEE struck him out swinging" with a splitter.

1:22 p.m.  Runners on 2nd and 3rd
Parra vs. Blanks
Danger, Will Robinson.  Had Braun not cut the ball off before the wall, it's a run scoring.

1:21 p.m.  Runner on 1st
Parra vs. Kouzmanoff
A single puts the lead runner on for Parra.  He used to implode here.  We'll see if he does this time.

Bottom 1st Inning

1:18 p.m.  3 Out
Carrillo vs Braun
Braunie flies one to shallow left and it's three in a row.

1:17 p.m. 2 Out
Carrillo vs. Counsell
A bouncer to short makes it two in a row.  Please, Armen, don't predict 27 in a row here.

1:14 p.m.  1 Out
Carrillo vs. Lopez
Kid's got a 93 mph fastball to start his major league career...and he induces the leadoff guy into a soft fly to center.

Top 1st Inning

1:12 p.m.  3 Out
Parra vs. Headley
"Headley" - another Brooks character - grounds out.

1:10 p.m.  3 Out
Parra vs. Gonzalez
Now 9-12 with a base knock here.  Producer Armen is done prognosticating forever.

1:08 p.m.  2 Out
Parra vs. Eckstein
"No, it is Eck-schteeen!"  At least in Mel Brooks' version of this game.  Four pitches, three outs.  Producer Armen says Parra will have 27 strikeouts in a row today.

1:07 p.m.  1 Out
Parra vs. Gwynn

Three pitches, three strikes.  Nice.
