Woman Dies in Oshkosh TriathlonBy Jon BymanA 43-year-old woman from Oshkosh died during the swimming portion of a triathlon over the weekend. Kim Schmidt is the third person to die during a triathlon in Wisconsin this summer. According to the Journal Sentinel, the triathlon was Schmidt's first. Her husband tells the newspaper that his wife had been training for the event for eight months. She was found unresponsive in the water. She was taken to the shore and CPR was performed. Authorities are still investigating the cause of Schmidt's death. |
