  • Print

13 people living in a North Side house got out safely after a fire which one woman who lives there says was caused by firecrackers set off in attempt to hurt a dog.

The fire happened at the home, located on the corner of North 30th and West Vliet Streets.

"It's just a tragedy, from little firecrackers," said Beverly Patterson, who lives at the home.

"Somebody throwing up firecrackers, trying to hurt a dog, hurt an entire family."

Patterson explained that this was a good example of the danger of fireworks, which are illegal to set off in Milwaukee.
