Man With History of Drug Arrests Shot

By Jay Sorgi

Milwaukee Police are looking for someone who shot a man with a history of drug arrests while he was sitting on the front porch of his home.

The shooting happened on the 2800 block of North Holton Avenue at about 1:30 a.m. Friday morning.

The victim, 30, ran one block north before police officers found him.

Crews took him to Froedert Hospital, where he was undergoing surgery for his wound, which was in his lower back.

He is expected to survive.

Police say the victim was uncooperative, telling three different stories as to why he was shot.

Officers say he has a history of arrests with the MPD, including keeping a drug house.
