Power Restored to Thousands of Customers

We Energies has restored power to Brookfield, Pewaukee, and Waukesha after electrical problems put thousands of customers in the dark earlier today.

Both Waukesha and Pewaukee's outages were related, but Brookfield was a separate issue.

Spokesperson Barry McNulty says the recent heat wave may have played a part in the Pewaukee/Waukesha outage.  It's still unclear exactly what caused the electrical fault in Brookfield.
