  • Print
MILWAUKEE - Encouraging news from Milwaukee Police Tuesday night. Officers Bryan Norberg and Graham Kunisch, who were shot multiple times on Tuesday afternoon, are expected to recover from their injuries. However, Officer Graham Kunisch is still in critical condition as of Tuesday night. "Both are expected to survive their wounds. I had the chance to speak to both families and I gave them obviously our support and our prayers. I spoke with them, you know parent to parent. As a parent of a police officer, I know how they feel. And I'm proud of them for sharing their son with us," said Milwaukee Police Chief Edward Flynn. Both officers were rushed to Froedtert Hospital after being shot multiple times. Witnesses say one officer was shot in the eye and shoulder and another was shot in the jaw and leg. Froedtert Hospital has a level one trauma center. That is the highest rating for a trauma center. That means there are specialists and equipment on hand 24 hours a day ready to treat serious injuries like those of Officers Norberg and Kunisch. Norberg, 21, was listed in satisfactory condition on Tuesday night. Kunisch, 26, was listed in critical condition on Tuesday night.
