New Water Park in Milwaukee
People in Milwaukee can enjoy a new water park experience starting Saturday.
The Milwaukee County Parks will open the David F. Schulz Aquatic Center at Lincoln Park (1301 West Hampton Avenue, Milwaukee) at 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
Officials chose to name the center after the Schulz, a proponent of pools and the County Parks system during his tenure as County Executive. Schulz died in 2007.
It's the first County water park on Milwaukee's north side.

"The south side has Cool Waters (in Greenfield Park) and Kosciuszko Park," said Milwaukee County Parks Department Chief of Recreation Joe Roszak to Milwaukeemoms.com.
"We looked at a lot of different parks, but this one is just beautiful and on the river."
The park includes a zero-depth pool with interactive water features for small children.
For adults, it includes a deep area with two diving boards, lap lanes, a lazy river, and water slides including the tallest in the County Parks system.
