Tow Lot Computer Problem in Milwaukee

By Melanie Stout

MILWAUKEE -- People trying to get their cars out of the city of Milwaukee's tow lot had another problem to deal with Monday morning.

A lot of frustrated people trying to get their towed cars and some had to wait several hours.

The lines were long and people were not happy first because their car was towed. The people became angrier when they say they were told the computers were down causing a longer delay.

The faces were gloomy and the frustration grew when they learn how much they had to pay to get their cars.

"I'm frustrated at the prices they told the gentleman its gonna be 115 and then they tell them its gonna be more," said Jeanette Krause.

Many people complained about being late for work and paying hefty fines right after Christmas.

While they were frustrated most people eventually got their vehicles.

The city tells us the computer system was overloaded because of all the people trying to get their cars back and it claims the glitch lasted only a few minutes.
