We cover the news 24 hours a day, 7 days a week as it happens.  We've always done that, but in the past, you've always been forced to wait until our next on-air newscast to get the news we're always covering.

In addition, if you don't want to sign up in advance, or even if you have, you can also get news, weather or sports on your cell phone anytime you want.  Just send a text message with the word "news" in the message to the address 79008.  We'll text back our latest headline.  For the weather, text "weather" to 79008.  For sports, text "sports" to 79008.  We're a bit limited because of character limits on text messages, but we'll try to get you as much information as possible.  This is our most on demand news feature.  We see you using it to get quick updates when, for whatever reason, you're not near a radio or a computer.  In addition to sending you major news, whenever there's major traffic or weather we also try to include that information in the news we send you by text.
