A man and his son dumped an unconscious Madison Kiefer on the driveway of her friend’s house the morning she died, Whitefish Bay Police said in an arrest report released Wednesday.

When that friend, 14, carried Kiefer inside, she yelled “she’s not breathing!” and her mother tried to revive her and called 911.

By the time emergency personnel arrived, Kiefer was dead.

Kiefer and the 14 year-old had been partying at the 22 year-old’s house Saturday night, and Kiefer bought approximately $60 worth of marijuana and Suboxone pill (a drug used to treat heroin addiction) from him.

The three of them fell asleep in the 22 year-old’s bed and, at approximately 7:30 Sunday morning, could not wake Kiefer.  Shortly thereafter, the 14 year-old left the house and walked home, but received a call from the 22 year-old an hour later.

“She can’t be in my house like this,” he told her.  “She is not waking up.”

The suspect then called his father, 58, who came over to help transport Kiefer to the 14 year-old’s house.

The father later told investigators that he thought Kiefer was “drunk or high,” but “he thought she was fine.” He added that he “was upset with his son and wanted to get back home and go to sleep.”

The two men then dropped Kiefer off at the home on Diversey Blvd. at about 9:30 a.m.

Whitefish Bay Police arrested both of them and are holding the younger man on possible homicide and drug-related charges.  Officers also arrested an 18 year-old woman who had previously attended a drug treatment program with Kiefer.

The Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office has not yet filed formal charges against any of the three suspects.
