School Resumes after Classmate Charged with Sex Assault

By By Tom Murray

Students at New Berlin Eisenhower High School went back to school after learning the details of the charges against their former classmate.

Anthony Stancl, 18, is accused of coercing fellow students into sexual acts.

School officials are urging other students who may have been victimized to come forward.

The superintendent is urging anyone manipulated by Stancl to go to a parent, teacher, coach or guidance counselor.

Detectives say Stancl posed as a girl on Facebook and instant messenger to get other boys to send naked pictures.

He allegedly would use those photos to blackmail the kids for sex.

Up until now, the New Berlin School District released very little information to teacher given legal restrictions.

There was to be a staff meeting Thursday afternoon to go over what happened, how to talk with students and to keep students focused on their school day routines.

The district says officially they don't know the victims in this case.

Their statements and interviews are through the police and district attorney's office.

The superintendent also tells me there are no schoolwide public address announcements about this.

They are hoping to get the word out through the media, trying their best to preserve the normal school day.
