More Area Layoffs Loom
Another day of bad news for Wisconsin workers.
Bon-Ton, the company that runs Boston Store, is cutting 100 local jobs. Another 1,000 will be cut around the country.
Oshkosh corporation is cutting 7% of its workforce on top of the cuts announced last year, and Skofield-based Greenheck Fan Corporation is cutting 155 workers at its corporate office.
13,000 people lost their jobs in the last year In Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington and Waukesha Counties. 3,500 hundred were lost in the last three months of 2008.
