Elderly Woman Severely Injured in FireBy Stephanie GrahamA 78-year-old woman is in critical condition Saturday morning after fire overtook a condo. It happened just after 12:30am at the River's Edge Condominiums in the Village of Brown Deer. The fire started in the bedroom. Firefighters found the woman unresponsive. The entire building was evacuated. The Milwaukee County Transit System provided a bus for people to stay warm. Everyone returned inside to their condos, except for one couple displaced by smoke damage. Officials are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
