Mark Jensen | AP Photo. Jensen Defense Alleges Juror MisconductBy Dan O'DonnellClick Here to listen to Dan's report. Mark Jensen's defense argued to remove a juror Monday, saying his sister posted an internet message indicating that her brother was on the jury and that she thought Jensen was guilty. Kenosha County Circuit Judge Bruce Schroeder stopped the trial for nearly an hour to interview the woman, who said she never expressed her opinion to her brother and never even discussed the case with him. Defense attorney Craig Albee wanted to question juror, but Judge Schroeder denied this request, finding no evidence of misconduct. Jensen is charged with first degree intentional homicide in the 1998 death of his wife , Julie. The state has spent the past few weeks arguing that Jensen poisoned her with anti-freeze and then smothered her when she "wouldn't die quickly enough," while the defense has argued that Julie Jensen killed herself and tried to frame her husband. The state is expected to rest its case this week. |
