Giants-Packers.  Two teams that no one would have prognosticated for this game back in September.

The temperature will be lower than the combined expectations these teams would make this contest.

But the winner will head to Phoenix, where the pressure will be hotter than hot for perhaps the most anticipated Super Bowl ever.

Five of our experts, including some of our Packers Gameday crew, chime in with who they think will reign victorious and go for glory in Glendale, AZ.

When the Packers have the ball: The Packers must put themselves in position to regularly convert on third down and keep New York's thin defense on the field. The Packers offensive line keeping the Giants' pass rush away from Brett Favre.  New York led the NFL in sacks. Wlll Green Bay balance run and pass like they did against Seattle?  The scheme was masterful; there's no reason to think it will be any different. Can Ryan Grant exploit a Giants' run defense that ranked 8th in the NFL but gave up a whopping 154 yards to the Cowboys last week? Scheme, scheme, scheme.  The Packers' quick-drop passes and cutback runs killed Seattle's fearsome rush last week.  NYG is just as damaging.
When the Giants have the ball. The Giants will try to keep the ball on the ground with hard-hitting Brandon Jacobs and lightning quick Ahmad Bradshaw. The Giants need a running game with Jacobs and Bradshaw to take pressure off of Eli Manning. Running the ball at Lambeau in Jan. is paramount - and the Giants can do it.  Jacobs is bigger than KGB and Kampman; Bradshaw runs like a pregnant fox in a forest fire. Will the Packers defense, dominant last week, contain a suddenly resurgent Eli Manning.  He's yet to throw an INT in the playoffs.  Win on first down.  Hold Jacobs and Bradshaw to less than 3 yards and control Eli, on that down and you can rush him to death and force turnovers on 2nd and 3rd downs.
Key Packer: Mark Tauscher and Chad Clifton.  Seattle had one outsanding DE.  The Giants have three.  GB's tackles must perform at last week's high level. Donald Lee.  There seemed to be huge gaps in the Giants' defense over the middle against the Cowboys. Atari Bigby.  That guy was insane last week!  He needs to lay the wood again and take the middle away from the Giants' weapons. Besides Brett Favre, Aaron Kampman.  If he gets in Eli's face and forces him to chuck it wildly, the Packers will win the turnover battle and, in turn, the game.  Brett Favre.  He can be the calming effect if GB's youth starts to give guys jitters, but he has to get over his pattern of early jitters himself.  Do that, and there's no question what'll occur.
Key Giant: Eli Manning: He's not Peyton, but if he's efficient, accurate and mistake free, the Giants can win. Corey Webster.  Their banged up DBs will make him a key, and he held up well against Owens last week. Eli, Eli, Eli.  He's really turned things around, but this gameis bigger than him.  He'll wish he was shooting a commercial with Peyton. Eli Manning.  He's played more like his brother, with his completion % above 65% for 8 TDs against just 1 INT. Michael Strahan and Osi Umenyiora.  They must produce huge or Favre will pick apart the Giants' suspect and thin secondary.
Who wins and why? Green Bay 30,
NY Giants 20.
Another week of protecting Brett and unleashing Grant  will send the Packers to the Super Bowl.
Tune in to our roundtable discussion on Packers Gameday (2:30 p.m. on Newsradio 620 WTMJ) and I'll tell you! Green Bay 31,
NY Giants 18.

GB's better in every phase of the game, and everything is in their favor.  Now I won't be able to sleep until Feb. 3...great!
Green Bay 27,
NY Giants 23.

The Giants will keep it close by pounding the ball and playing in-your-face D, but Favre is far too good at picking apart blitzes.
Green Bay 31,
NY Giants 21.
Favre should deliver 300 yards and 3 TDs, and Curly and Vince will clink cold champagne glasses in Heaven.  Next: NE in Arizona!!
