A fresh set of snow is coming on Lambeau Field today as preparations are continuing for Sunday's NFC Championship Game between the Green Bay Packers and New York Giants.

The Packers are asking for more volunteers to come to Lambeau Field and shovel out the Frozen Tundra to help get the stadium ready. Shoveling begins at 6:00 p.m., and people who come who are 15 or older can receive $8/hour.

Shovelers do not need to bring their own shovel.

Team, NFL Preparing Lambeau

The field itself is covered up by a tarp to protect it after workers put a fresh coat of green paint on the tundra with the NFC Championship logo.

By all accounts, players say the field should be in fine shape, despite the forecast for frigid conditions - a temperature of +1' at kickoff.

Technically, the NFL is producing the game, so the ticket sales for the game to into a pool for all NFL teams.

The Packers still make the revenue from the concessions, the revenue from the playoff suites, and they get the money from the Lambeau Atrium, including the Packers Pro Shop and Curly's Pub. Those will all be rocking on gameday.

Event Staff at Breakneck Pace

"The more the team wins, the busier we get."

Those words don't just describe getting ready on the field.

Beth Haws is the Special Events Corporate Sales Manager for the Packers and Lambeau Field. Her crew has had lots to handle with the Packers' big playoff run, but she says it's the usual for her department.

"We do about 800 events a year, so we stay very, very busy," says Haws.

Her team is busy for 365 days with the NFL draft party, the Fan Fest, corporate events, Christmas parties, and receptions for those couples that want the Frozen Tundra involved in their nuptials, though that's not allowed during the playoff run.

"We do not have any weddings booked," states Haws. "Thank goodness."
