Packers Nation is getting ready for the Giants game, and the Giants and their fans, are also prepping for Sunday in an NFC Championship matchup that was unlikely at the start of the season.

"Everybody's thrilled, as you would expect," said Chris Carlin, with words that would normally describe Packers Nation about their team entering this NFC Final.

But Carlin's conveying the attitude of fans of the New York Giants, the team he covers as the pre-and-postgame show host on WFAN and the New York Giants Radio Network.

"Nobody expected them to be in this position at the beginning of the year."

Most Giants fans couldn't believe they actually went into Dallas and beat the Cowboys in the NFC Semifinals, but Carlin explains how the Giants recently have gotten hot.

"They kind of found their way here, and much like the Packers, (they've) gotten into a hot situations the last few weeks, and they've been playing well," stated Carlin.

Like Green Bay, New York's just riding the wave, winning their last nine road games.

"They feel like they have this little magic carpet ride going right now," says Carlin.

"The Packers have the same kind of thing going, except they've been doing it all season long."

The Giants, and the fan base there, understands what it is to face #4 and company at Lambeau.

"You certainly know what the Packers are all about, (especially) Favre in Green Bay," Carlin reminds.

"Nobody thinks that it's going to be an easy task."
