Students Back in Class Without ACBy Vicky Hollowell
School is hard enough to get back to, but a lot of students are having an especially hard time going to classrooms with no AC.
The heat can be torture, and a lot of students who went back to school on Tuesday were unlucky enough to spend the days in 80+ degree temperatures without decent relief.
Brookfield Central High School Principal Don LaBonte says it's been hard on the kids, but they'll pull through.
"We're fortunate to have a lot of students who are very successful academically, but I have to say that many of them voice concerns that it's hot at the end of the day," said LaBonte.
Central missed out on air conditioning after the Elmbrook School District's board recently failed to pass a referendum to install it in the school.
