Severed Goat Head Sent to Attorney's Office
In one of the most famous scenes of The Godfather, movie producer Jack Woltz wakes up to find the severed head of his prize thoroughbred in bed with him after the mob "made him an offer he couldn't refuse."
For Milwaukee defense attorney Robin Shellow, a similar discovery in her office is a reality she couldn't avoid.
On Monday, someone in her building found a pink bag containing a "very gory" severed goat's head with a threatening note addressed to Shellow stuffed in its mouth.
Her office released the following statement:
"August 27, 2007 was a full moon and was also the eve of a complete lunar eclipse. Since, to my knowledge, no sons or daughter of any elected representatives from the Wisconsin delegation have been recently accused of tire slashing or voter fraud, no more OIC executives are left to indict and it has been a few to several months since I have invented any new psychologically based defenses, the only thing I can assume is that someone was trying to get my attention on a lovely summer day and was unable to locate his or her copy of the yellow pages."
Milwaukee police are still looking for suspects.
